Annual American Red Cross Blood Drive
|
Our annual blood drive this past August st resulted in 18 pints collected from 16 donors, 3 of whom were first time donors. We will be able to affect up to 54 people and help to save lives!
Every minute of every day, someone needs blood. Thank you for being the person
who makes a difference by choosing to donate!
"It's personally satisfying to me to recognize how a simple act of giving can have such a profound affect on someone else in our community." Lora, LECESSE employee

Employees at LECESSE Construction are currently involved in the newly formed Upstate Chapter of The ACE (Architecture, Construction, and Engineering) Mentor Program of America, Inc. ACE is a unique partnership among industry professionals who work together to attract young people to the A/C/E profession(s). This program matches a team of A/C/E professionals with a team of High School students in order to provide hands-on learning opportunities for students wishing to pursue a degree or career in the A/C/E profession. Industry professionals volunteer to mentor students to introduce and encourage them to pursue studies and careers in these fields in the hope to increase the future talent bases of these industries. Shown here are photos of a "simulated bid" that took place at our offices. Student teams competed against one another to build a top quality dog house as cost effectively as possible.

DePaul Holiday Helper's Project was a success!!
|
This season, LECESSE Construction participated in the DePaul Communities holiday helpers campaign. We adopted the wish lists of the residents of a DePaul Group Home and contributed to the needs of the house. A heart felt thank you goes out to all who participated and did a bit of additional shopping this holiday season for a neighbor in need. We were able to collect a nice variety of items, gift cards and cash contributions totaling $350.00 …a warm thank you to all who helped to make the Holidays a little brighter for families dealing with illness this time of year.

Every year, a select group of enthusiastic LECESSE employees join the masses on the RIT Campus for the Chase Corporate Challenge. Congratulations to the entire LECESSE Team for walking and running the 3.5 mile course. LECESSE has participated in the Corporate Challenge almost every year for the past decade, supporting a variety of area charities with the proceeds from this event.

American Heart Association Heart Walk
|
This past spring, employees of LECESSE Construction hosted a series of internal fund-raisers in support of the 2010 American Heart Association Heart Walk. In an effort to help save lives and support their mission of promoting health living, LECESSE employees pledged monies through various events that were then donated directly to the American Heart Association.

Special thanks go out to all our volunteers who helped out at the United Way’s annual day of caring event. Understanding that our work comes first, an additional day was needed to finish up the painting that the group home requested. Special gratitude to those who went there twice to make sure we finished up our projects!
